What do you see as your city's biggest issue?
Russ Hackett - Providing services to city residents while keeping taxes at a tolerable level.
Don Otto - Water supply and sewage disposal are probably the two biggest issues the city will have to face in the near future.

What's your solution for that situation?
Russ Hackett - Prioritize all needs to determine what is needed most and first. This process would need input from public works employees as well as input from city residents.
Don Otto - Without knowing all the facts and government regulations concerning these two issues, it is impossible to offer an informed and responsible solution at this time.

Gary Gruba - Exploring all of the options available to meet the growing needs of the city.
What should the Legislature do to address concerns about the level of local government aid?
Russ Hackett - The Legislature should provide assistance to cities in the areas of pollution control, infrastructure of roads and highways. All areas where the projects we do affect the larger area, i.e. wastewater management, etc.
Don Otto - The only responsible thing the government can do to resolve the amount of government aid is to roll it back to its former levels.

Gary Gruba - The Legislature should set the basic guidelines for where LGA is to be and leave it set.
Describe your style of leadership with regard to conflict management.
Russ Hackett - My leadership style is one of a core group approach of discerning the problem, researching options, consensus approval of best solution, empower the right people to get the job done. Cooperative approach to problem solving.
Don Otto - Communication is the key to conflict management. Take time to get all the facts and concerns from everyone involved, then sit down and talk it out before making decisions.
